| Description | Letters between Frederick Smith and Fred Bullock, Secretary of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons [RCVS]. During the time these letters were written, Britain was at war with Germany [World War, 1914-1918] and Smith had joined the Army Veterinary Service in Salisbury, Wiltshire. As a result, there are very few letters between Smith and Bullock, and little discussion of Smith's literary research work. Topics discussed include: movements of British, French and German armed forces; the death and funeral of Dr A S Lea; the RCVS and its register of veterinary surgeons. |
