| Description | These papers contain the collected articles, notes and correspondence which informed Smith's research work for his various publications. They are grouped by subject matter, but do not necessarily correlate to one specific publication, as Smith returned to subjects several times throughout his career. Files that were found together at time of cataloguing have been preserved, and this original order can be identified by Smith's own annotation, usually in blue pencil. There is some correspondence within this collection, but most has been filed separately, and can be found catalogued in a separate SubFonds (FS/3). |
